This is quite unbelievable, Manchester City won the English Premier League title for the first time in 44 years to deny rivals Manchester United a 20th domestic championship in a dramatic conclusion to the Premier League season.
"To win it like this is
incredible," Mancini, who at times during the second half gave the impression he
could barely believe his side appeared to be doing all they could to throw away
the title, told Sky Sports. "I don't think I've ever seen a finale like
this.
"We didn't deserve to lose, we
had a lot of chances and we deserved to win the game and championship.
"It's fantastic for the club and
the supporters after 44 years. It's been a crazy season and a crazy last
minute."
On the other hand Sir Allex Ferguson admitted he was stunned
by the scenes at the Etihad Stadium, nevertheless, congratulates his side’s
arch rivals for clinching their maiden Premier League crown. He said “I don’t
think anyone was expecting that, referring to the last scene of the city game.
Everyone expected City to win; they had to do it against 10 men for half an
hour and they had five minutes of added time too. I congratulate City on
winning the league; it’s not an easy week to win it. Anyone who wins it
deserves it.”
"I want to win more. I'm hungry. This feeling is indescribable," captain Vincent
Kompany told BBC Radio
A
big congratulation to ManCity... They actually deserve winning this trophy!
