Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family is said to be making preparations for her funeral. The 22-year-old has been in hospice care since June 24. Members of the Brown and Houston families have been spotted coming to and from the facility where Bobbi Kristina will live out her final days.
According to a report from Extra, the family is in the process of picking out a burial plot in a Westfield, New Jersey cemetery — the same one that Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney Houston, was buried in more than 3 years ago. They had initially hoped to bury Bobbi Kristina near her mother, but all the plots were taken. A source has suggested that the young aspiring actress’ body “could be placed atop Whitney’s coffin,” allowing Bobbi Kristina and her mother to be “together into eternity.” The insider added that it appears changes have been made to Whitney’s headstone in preparation for Bobbi Kristina to be buried there.
“Whitney’s headstone now has a circular brick border garden, and two rosary necklaces have been added….a new sign spelling out ‘Love’ has also been placed to the back left of the stone,” the source told the site.
Bobbi Kristina has been unresponsive since Jan. 31 when she was found face down in a bathtub inside her Georgia home. She was discovered by her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, and a friend. Gordon has come under fire since the incident after it was discovered that Bobbi Kristina’s body was riddled with strange bruises. A criminal investigation was launched and, with her death looming, lawyer Bedilia C. Hargrove has filed a lawsuit against Gordon claiming he manipulated, abused and stole from Bobbi Kristina during their relationship. The Fulton County district attorney is taking a closer look at the case as they are reportedly considering launching a murder case against the 25-year-old.
The family has not spoken out about Bobbi Kristina’s condition since their initial revelation that she would be going into the hospice care center. Her aunt, Pat Houston, noted that her condition had “deteriorated” in the four months since the incident, leading them to leave her fate “in God’s hands.”
