Lagos And Flooding Shaa! See VGC After A Very Heavy Rain (PHOTOS)

  

This is inside a home in VGC, Lagos after 2 days of heavy downpour. OMG! The Blog reader who sent in the photos, wrote;

"I am a grieved resident of Road 12 at Victoria Garden City. We have been having flooding issues for over 5 years now. It keeps getting worse each year and after several complaints the estate management are still turning deaf ears on us. On Saturday June 20th, we experienced the worst. The entire first floor of my house has been wrecked. Please post the attached pictures to appeal to the estate management to sort out the drainage issues, especially on road 12. Its a shame for someone to say they live in VGC and yet be going through this."

Flood At Igando Area of Lagos State Today (pictures)

Our house is just a few plots from the Igando-Abaranje footbridge somewhere around Foursquare Gospel Church. We have been experiencing continual flooding due to the tiny size of the canal. The single canal here serves as exit for waters coming from Bakare in Ikotun LCDA, Abaranje and Igando and the size of the canal is just a little bit more than a gutter. Even the Foursquare Gospel Church in the next street is flooded but the water won't allow me go out to take much pictures. . . This happened just this morning.
