President
Goodluck Jonathan (L), with the former Commonwealth Secretary-General, and
CHAIRMAN, Orient Petroleum Resources PLC, Emeka Anyaoku, at the inauguration of
Orient Petroleum Resources PLC productionsite at Aguleri-Otu in Anambra on
Thursday.
Mr.
President promised to develop an integrated transport system, which will link
airports, sea ports and rail to boost commerce and the movement of cargoes.
During his
visit, the president also inaugurated oil drilling activities at Orient Oil
Resource Centre, near Aguleri; the SABMiller Brewery in Onitsha; and Orange
Drugs Factory.
He also unveiled
the giant statue of the Ikemba Nnewi, the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and
named the expanded expressway from Niger Bridgehead to Upper Iweka Road – the
gateway to the South East – as Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Way.
