The President of United State of America, President Barack
Obama on Thursday September 6th, 2012 accepted his party's nomination for the
re-election back to the presidential office, during his speech he told the
audience at the Democratic National Convention and Americans that only the
voters in November have the power to secure the change he started.
"If you turn away now -- if you
buy into the cynicism that the change we fought for isn't possible, well,
change will not happen," Obama
He made it clear that, only you (the Americans) can make sure
that doesn't happen.
He Acknowledge the fact that, the nation's hope has been
tested since he first addressed the party conclave in 2004 as the keynote
speaker, Obama urged Americans to look beyond the "trivial" nature of
election campaigns to fully grasp the magnitude of the election.
Obama called for the nation to rally around "a real,
achievable plan" to deal with the economic challenges that are the most
problematic issues facing his campaign.
He outlines some
Specific goals which includes;
- Creating 1 million new manufacturing jobs by the end of 2016,
- Halving net oil imports by 2020,
- Cutting the growth of college tuition in half over the next 10 years,
- Training 2 million workers for jobs and supporting natural gas development that can employ 600,000 people by the end of the decade.
NOTE*** That three of the goals are new --
The increase in manufacturing jobs,
-- The cut in college tuition increases and
-- The reduction in oil imports
While the others have been previously discussed by the
president or his administration.
"I won't pretend the path I'm
offering is quick or easy. I never have," Obama said, adding "it will
take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over
decades."
With this speech, Obama spoke to Americans as adults which
made him a great orator...
The closing lines of his speech achieved real momentum and
encapsulated President Obama's argument:
"America, I never said this
journey would be easy, and I won't promise that now. Yes, our path is harder,
but it leads to a better place. Yes our road is longer, but we travel it
together. We don't turn back. We leave no one behind. We pull each other up. We
draw strength from our victories, and we learn from our mistakes, but we keep
our eyes fixed on that distant horizon, knowing that providence is with us, and
that we are surely blessed to be citizens of the greatest nation on
Earth."
This is a REAL president that has the LOVE of his nation at
heart... Congratulations to President Barack Obama for delivering a perfect
speech to the people of United State of America!
