Some hours after the resignation of the National Chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Muazu, the party leadership has appointed his Deputy, Prince Uche Secondus to take over the vacant position.
News according Vanguard , said that the chairman resigned "following pressure from party leaders, stakeholders and supporters of the party".
The report further states:
" In a letter he wrote to the Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Muazu, noted that due to the abysmal performance of the party during the March 28 presidential election, it become imperative for him to go and for peace to reign in the PDP.
"In the letter, he asked Secondus to step in as the acting National Chairman in line with the part's constitution.
