Police officer who produces Bullet Proof jackets locally decorated with new rank

Police officer, Sgt Godwin Hosea who produces bullet proof jackets locally was today decorated as a sergeant at the Bauchi state command. Sgt Hosea had on July 22nd presented his work to the IGP, Solomon Arase at a police function in Bauchi state. The elated IG ordered he be promoted with immediate effect. He was decorated by the Bauchi state commissioner of police, Mohammed K. Mohammed. Well deserved.

Unpaid Salaries Sum N110bn In States

No fewer than 12 of the 36 states of the federation are facing difficult times as the salaries they owe their workers are approximately well over N110bn. This represents the salaries being owed by government of 10 of the states of the federation. They are Osun, Rivers, Oyo, Ekiti, Kwara, Kogi, Ondo, Plateau, Benue, and Bauchi states.

The 36 state governors, who met during the week in Abuja under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for the second time after the May 29 inauguration of the new government, expressed their concern over the issue.

Bauchi Govt Seizes 22 Vehicles From Yuguda’s Wives

As part of efforts to recover all its properties, the Bauchi State government has seized a total 22 vehicles in the possession of the wives of former governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda.

The Chairman of the Transition Committee, Senator Mohammed Mohammed who spoke yesterday at the Government House in Bauchi said that the recovery of the vehicles was in tandem with the mandate of the committee to recover all items confirmed to have been allocated against due and return them to the government.

He said:” we have so far, recovered a total of 22 cars from the wives of the former Governor, Isa Yuguda. We recovered 11 cars from his first wife, seven from the second wife and four from the third wife. We are yet to recover the remaining cars from his fourth wife who is currently out of the country.
