THE POWER OF SIGHT II

Memorise: By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; -
Hebrews 11:24

Read:
Genesis 13:14-18 (KJV)
14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

Bible in one Year:
Samuel 11:1-12:23, Mark 12:28-13:2

MESSAGE
The power of spiritual sight is apparent in anyone who has it. Such a person can see into the future and therefore does not exercise any form of fear. We can see these attributes manifested in Elisha in
2 Kings 6:11-18. Elisha’s servant could not see what his master saw, and so he was afraid of the human army attempting to arrest them; but read what happens in 2 Kings 6:17
“And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around about Elisha.”

People often ask me why I don’t go about with police escorts like many great men of God do. My answer is simple: it is great men who need human protection, and if only God would open the eyes of those who are so concerned about my safety, they would see that those who are with me are more than those with the enemies who would want to attack me.

What really kept Abraham going in his journey of faith was the power of what he was seeing. God, in several instances used audiovisual aids to build up his faith (
Genesis 13:14-17, Genesis 15:5-6). What God showed Abraham was so convincing that he stopped worrying about his state of childlessness until the child of promise came.

Moses also was endowed with the power of sight; he saw into the future of the Hebrew while they were still in bondage (
Hebrews 11:24-26). He saw that someday these people would be set free, while their tormentors would be in agony. He therefore preferred the temporary shame of identifying with the people of God, to the enjoyment of temporary bliss that would lead to eternal damnation. This quality qualified Moses to lead the people of God. He who sees what others can’t see will ultimately lead the rest. I pray that whatever is blocking your vision will be removed today in Jesus’ Name. A man with the power of sight will often act reasonably well. For example, after King Nebuchadnezzar saw a fourth man in the fiery furnace, his perception changed (Daniel 3:23-30). May the Lord open your eyes to see the pleasant surprises that God has in store for you, so that you don’t backslide before the time of your divine visitation.

Prayer Point: Father, please grant me the grace to remain committed to my future, and strengthen me to do all that is required of me to attain the glorious future.

THE POWER OF SIGHT I

Memorise: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. -Proverbs 29:18

Read: John 9:1-7 (KJV)

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Bible in one Year: 2 Samuel 7:18-10:19, Mark 12:13-27

MESSAGE
There are 3 categories of sight, all of which are very important. These categories include: physical, mental and spiritual. Today’s memory verse rightly summarises the risk a person without the power of sight is taking in life. The story of the man born blind in our Bible reading shows us some of the challenges a person without the power of sight faces. For as long as he was blind, this man had to be content with sitting on one spot, begging (John 9:8). Before Jesus met this man, he was already on the verge of frustration and despondency, but after his encounter with Jesus, many things took place in his life. His life was transformed for good, such that the one who had been a liability to his parents suddenly could go out and work for a living. Also, those who had been passing black to him as white before his miraculous experience would desist from doing so, because he could now see. Moreover, the danger of falling into ditches was now history in his life. The Bible in Luke 11:34a says:

“The light of the body is the eye.”
It is a great thing to have physical sight. More often than not, what we see affects our personality and our perception of life generally. For example, because my father never saw a house fitted with a modern toilet or bathtub, he never aspired to build a house with such facilities till he died.

However, some people with physical sight lack the power of mental sight. Lack of mental sight leads to lack of knowledge which in turn leads to lack of wisdom, and as we know, wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). Wisdom has been defined as the correct application of knowledge, but it is only the knowledge that you have that you can apply. I pray that you will not lack mental sight in Jesus’ Name. I am praying this prayer for you because of what the Bible says in Proverbs 17:25:

“A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.”

In addition to physical and mental sight, we most importantly need spiritual sight. Having spiritual sight is the bedrock of all good success. Spiritual sight exposes you to deeper truths in the word of God. Every word of God suddenly becomes meaningful to you (2 Timothy 3:16). Those who don’t have spiritual sight to illuminate their understanding cherry-pick only those areas of scripture that favour their easy-going Christianity. You need to pray for all three categories of sight today so that you can fulfil your destiny here on earth.

Prayer Point: Father, open my physical, mental and spiritual eyes to see and buy into the great future You have for me.

Obasanjo Blackmailing Buhari- Senator

Obasanjo Blackmailing Buhari- Senator

A former member of National Assembly, Senator Rowland Owie, has described ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Think-tank report as a document of blackmail for the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,
In a statement issued in Abuja, Owie, who is also a former Chief Whip of the Senate, asked: ”How can Obasanjo be preparing a blueprint for Buhari? A Bini parable says, “how can an impotent man get medicine for his brother, who suffers weak erection”?
The Niger Delta ex-senator was disappointed that the in-coming Buhari administration is in romance with Obasanjo, saying, “Obasanjo will tell the world that the solutions he prescribed for fixing Nigeria were ignored.”
He said: “I just read Obasanjo think-tank has submitted a blueprint to Buhari. Blue what?
“I am shocked that great Nigerians of the likes of Prof. Akin Mabogunje, Dr. Idika Kalu and Dr. Christopher Kolade were involved. That Obasanjo is linked to the blue-print, it will be a document of blackmail to Buhari very soon.
“Wonders will never end! How can Obasanjo who allegedly wasted eight years in government pursuing perceived enemies, and tried to ruin the legislative and judiciary arms of government in Nigeria; wasted $16 billion on power and not a single kilowatt of energy was produced, destroyed Aladja Steel, Itakpe Steel, Ajaokuta Steel, NITEL, just to mention a few FGN parastatals, now begin to advise Buhari?
“How can Obasanjo, whose government received, in one year, a revenue equivalent of the total revenue that IBB regime received in eight years, yet, nothing to show for it, be handing over blue-print to the in-coming administration?
“While there are great legacies left behind by IBB, but Nigerians can’t find any useful legacies by a government that received the highest revenue, since the amalgamation of Nigeria.
“The legacies left behind by Obasanjo are allegedly hate, divisiveness, Zaki- Ibiam and Odi destruction, impunity in government business and the business of the PDP that was put together by well-meaning people, including my humble self, when he, Obasanjo, was in prison,” Sen. Owie said.
Owie also revealed that “the present state of PDP was created by Obasanjo when the late SB Awoniyi was rigged out in 2000 at Eagle Square and another attempt to rebuild the party through Chief Audu Ogbeh was frustrated when Ogbeh was forced to resign as PDP chairman.
“We thank God that now that Obasanjo has left the PDP, we can rebuild the party. Has Obasanjo not seen now the major achievements of Yar’Adua-Jonathan government within a short time,”? he asked.

Lagos in the history of Nigeria today

Today will go a long way in the history of Lagos state and Nigeria. For the past 16 years Lagos state has been under the leadership of people that have vision and passion for the rapid development of this land we called our home. Is takes a good leader to start a good project and later entrust it into another person's hand that he can vouch for to continue with the good job he has started and ensure continuity. Talking about continuity, Governor Tinubu started the rebuilding process in Lagos state and also identify quality leadership traits in Governor Babatunde Fashola which made him present him for continuity of the rebuilding process, all thanks to many Lagosians who voted massively for the governor 8 years ago. He came into the governors office and transform Lagos through his metropolitan vision. Now that His 8years tenure is about to come to an end, and we are at the process of electing another leader to continue with their good works, I think it will be fare enough to allow the transformation to continue under their leadership. Deciding which candidate to vote into office is simply a matter of party affiliation for many people. Many people however, cast their votes based on specific characteristics they look for in their candidate of choice. IYes APC has recognize their setbacks and criticism for the past years of service, they are ready to learn from them and move forward, now that they are now in control of the federal government. Just imaging rapid development that will come to Lagos state with smooth collaboration with president of the federal republic of Nigeria. Lets allow the good work continue in Lagos state by voting for continuity and rapid development. The ball is in your court, vote wisely. Eko Oni Baje Ooo! God bless the federal republic of Nigeria. @papabaks

Things to remember the 2015 Elections in Nigeria for

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan promised the country free and fair elections, and he kept to hisword. He also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process while the whole world was watching, which happens to be one of the best legacies that has come to stay in the Nigerian political system.
However, some political stakeholders have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) due to some irregularities which occurred during the electoral process, however Mr President has urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow the due process according to Nigerian constitution and electoral laws, in seeking redress.
Mr President set the tone for a successful election by appointing Professor Attahiru Jega as INEC’s Chairman and giving him thenecessary support to ensure that the 2015 presidential election is free, fair and violence free.
Professor Attahiru Jega aware of the power conferred on him as the INEC Chairman, ensured that the election process was free, fair and very transparent.
The acceptance of the card reader was the beginning of the end of the ruling party (PDP) and President Jonathan, their attempt to drop the idea proved abortive, they tried all they could to revert the use of the computerised Card Reader Machines by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for accreditation and tracking of information on the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). According to INEC, the machine could help to put a check on  rigging as it is programed to display information on any person who has voted. But the PDP feared that the machine may not provide credible elections, or might not give them room for manipulation. Despite immense pressure on the President to flush out Prof. Jega, the INEC Chairman continued to maintain that he would only leave on his own volition. When asked if he would resign weeks before the elections, the 58-year-old academia  said, “It is unfair for me to say I will resign when I have a job to do. I remain focused”.
All thanks to Professor Attahiru Jega for insisting on the use of the card reader, which was a strategic masterstroke that has added to the credibility of this crucial elections. He was also fair of Mr Jega to have allowed Mr President to use the register after three failed attempts made on the card reader to read Mr President and the First Lady’s permanent voter cards after about 30 minutes. The same process did not take General Buhari and his wife more than two minutes to be accredited using the same card reader. Although, the card reader recorded 0.25% of failure across the nation, the process was still rated free and fair by international communities like ECOWAS, US and UK.
There is greatness in following the rule of law, orderliness and extreme patience in all you do, all these attributes were practically put to use by Professor Attahiru Jega. He is always calm; For a man who is in the eye of the storm at the moment, Jega remained cool, calm and collected. His focus and determination to make a success of the most keenly contested elections in the country appears to be unshakable, most especially during the proceedings of election collation, when Nigerian former Minister of Niger Delta, Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe attacked him “Professor Attahiru Jega”, alleging that the result of the elections have been falsified and accusing him of being bias and partisan.
Professor Jega was magnanimous enough to have allowed Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe  to throw tantrums before addressing the issue reasonably stating among others “……….Mr Orubebe, you are a former Minister of the Federal Republic. You are a statesman in your own right. You should be careful about what you say or what allegations or accusations you make. Certainly you should be careful about your public conduct". Professor Jega's response to Orubebe has been hailed as mature and worthy of praise.
If there’s one thing I very much appreciate about professor Jega style of leadership, it is  how he was able to calm the nerves of all Nigerians , by taking his time in announcing each states results and also going on recess, which gave a lot of Nigerians the time to quickly do the summation themselves and also wait patiently for the final result. Prof. Jega has proved to be the only man with the power to keep Nigerians glued to their television sets for hours just to listen to him read out boring figures. By the time the final result was announced, all Nigerians already knew who the likely winner was.General Muhammadu Buhari was announced to have won with 52.41% votes as against the incumbent president with 43.67% votes and a 2,571,759 margin.
Jega’s systematic approach in announcing the final result, gave President Jonathan and his camp enough room to concede defeat early enough and also prepare his official statement, a concession speech.
The President’s concede to defeat after he realised that he  lost the contest, made him an hero in the eyes of all Nigerians and international observers according to Lai Mohammed, APC spokesman.
One major tool that was an advantage to the 2015 Nigerian Presidential election was the social media. APC won the presidential election long before it was announced. This we knew with the help of the social media by engaging professional social media entrepreneurs/freelance like @Omojuwa, @chude, @delemomodu and many others. They  did a very good job in promoting the image, vision and manifesto of APC on twitter, Facebook, blog sites, Instagram and many others. The APC slogan “CHANGE” also strikes a chord in the heart of many Nigerians who are ready for rapid change at the national level.
For the very first time in Nigeria’s political history, an opposition candidate won the presidential election and the final results was majorly accepted by all Nigerians and international observers with little or no complains. In a way it’s no surprise that the social media was accurately reflecting a trend. Nigeria happens to have the highest percentage of social media users. In 2014the social media added 10 million new users which gives a total of 75 million internets users today in Nigeria. Nigerians who voted during the presidential election were about 30 million. The #OccupyNigeria and the #BringBackOurGirls nationwide campaign in 2011 and 2014 respectively invited a lot of Nigerians to the social media.
One of the factors that  made President Jonathan lose his re-election campaign according to Omojuwa, was his absence from his twitter handle @presgoodluck with 32 tweets and 25, 000 followers, which was abandoned since 2011. Wondering what could have happened to the president’s social media image if he had not abandoned it for good four years, unlike his main challenger Gen Buhari who only joined twitter in December 2014 with 900 tweets and 117, 000 followers alongside his running mate Prof. Osinbajo who, with 430 tweets has almost 80, 000 followers. APC understood the trend in Nigeria and they were quick enough to plug their campaign into the organic anger against the government that has been cooking in Nigeria’s social media space for at least 4 years.
Finally, the presidential election has made me realise that, you don’t surround yourself with people you do not trust, nor do you give your subordinates too much freedom in running your campaign with little or no checks and balances like Ayo Fayose and Fani Kayode who used their personal characters to destroy the image of President Goodluck Jonathan. It is worthy to note that you should never allow your best tools for success leave you for no reasons, because they might come back to hurt youas was the case with Chief Obasanjo, Dr Saraki and Gov. Amaechi.

Image result wey dey for security tips for election

Dear All,

We wish to inform you about the need to be careful during, and after the forthcoming general elections. This has become imperative as a result of the general tension that has been generated as a result of the forthcoming elections. In light of this, please take note of the following security update and tips:

1. The Nigerian Police Force and other relevant security agencies have been put on high alert and are expected to conduct periodic and random searches on people, vehicles and various hot spots. You are advised to cooperate with them during this period; do not abuse security agents, obstruct their work, or resist them unnecessarily to avoid unfortunate repercussions.

2. There will be restricted movement of people in the hours leading to, and during the March 28th Presidential elections and April 11th Gubernatorial elections. Please comply with this directive for your personal safety.

3. Kindly ensure that you adequately stock your homes with required food items during the election period, in case of emergencies, imposed curfews or other threats that may arise after the elections.

4. If you are registered to vote and have your Permanent Voters Card, you are advised to go early to the Polling Centers, get accredited, cast your votes and leave the vicinity immediately for your homes to await the results.

5. Please do not cluster around polling centers and stay away from groups of people, no matter the discussion or incident that may have attracted them together.

6. Assess the environment around your intended voting center. Steer clear if there are miscreants, thugs and unknown faces in the area. Remember that your life matters more than the vote.

7. Dress responsibly and avoid adorning any political attire, party logos etc. Please remember that no campaign is allowed during elections. Therefore, avoid wearing politically branded face cap or T-shirts bearing images or pictures of candidates. This can pose as a risk.

8. Avoid discussions at the voting center which may fan the embers of political discord amongst the political parties and their agents.

9. Stay away from parked cars and abandoned packages, luggage etc.

10. Avoid taking your vehicle, kids or expensive jewelries and other personal belongings to the polling centers.

11. Leave church premises immediately after church service. Please do not loiter around the church hall or entrances after services or programs.

12. Always listen to news on electronic and social media. Be extra-vigilant during this period and law-abiding.

Please pass this information to members of your family and friends. Be careful and stay safe .

Windows 10 to be launched in 190 countries

Attempting to target a launch date that’s prior to the back-to-school shopping season during August 2015, Microsoft is committing to a summer launch window for the company’s new operating system. Officially announced on the Blogging Windows blog today, Microsoft is planning to launch Windows 10 within 190 countries and the operating system will be available in 111 languages.
Of course, Microsoft is offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade for any user that’s currently running Windows 7 or Windows 8. That free upgrade offer is expected to kick off at the summer launch. According to the latest data tabulated by Net Applications, roughly 70 percent of all desktop users are either using Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. The free upgrade offer won’t be available to Windows XP or Vista users, which still comprise roughly 21 percent of all desktop users.

Also included within the blog post, Microsoft revealed multiple partnerships that will help the software company launch Windows 10 successfully in China. Specifically, Lenovo will be offer Windows 10 upgrade services at more than 2,500 locations that include service centers and retail stores.

Qihu 360, a Chinese Internet security company, announced plans to help facilitate the upgrade to Windows 10 among half a billion customers and Tencent, a social networking and gaming company, will create a Windows 10 version of the QQ app, an application with more than 800 million users.

Interestingly, Microsoft also plans to offer free upgrade to Windows 10 for all Windows users in China, regardless of the legality of the Windows 7 or Windows 8 installation. Specifically designed to fight rampant piracy in the country, recent studies have indicated that that roughly 75 to 85 percent of Windows users in China are using a non-genuine, pirated copy of the operating system. The rate of Windows piracy is much smaller in the United States with roughly 15 to 20 percent using pirated software.
