Inter Milan considering swoop for Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel should Roberto Mancini's side miss out on Felipe Melo

Inter Milan have expressed an interest in Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel (pictured)

As gentle and unnoticed as He is Mikel has played a very good role in Chelsea Team.

Last season was a very challenging season for him, due to lack of playing time with the first team, following the brilliant form of fellow holding midfielder Nemanja Matic. According to DailyMail, Roberto Mancini is considering of signing the footballer if they fail to secure their first choice Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo.

Inasmuch as Mourinho will like to keep him in Chelsea, he knows it will be hard to try and persuade the 28 year old to settle for a place on the bench at Stanford bridge.

US gay marriage: Robert Mugabe asks Obama to marry him

Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has challenged US President Barack Obama by asking his hand in marriage. His comment comes at the back of the legalization of gay marriage in the US by the Supreme Court.

During Mugabe's weekly radio interview with Zimbabwe’s national radio last Saturday, he said:
“I’ve just concluded since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance thus if it becomes necessary , I shall travel to Washington, D.C. , get down on my knee and ask Obama’s hand. I can’t understand how these people dare to defy Christ’s explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy.''
Mugabe said the American Government is run by pervert, Satan-worshipers who insult the Great American nation.

FG orders probe on NNPC over unaccounted N3.8trillion

The Federal government yesterday June 29th constituted a four-man committee to probe NNPC over N3.8 trillion unaccounted for by the corporation in the last three years. According to the Edo state governor, who is part of the 4-man probe committee, investigations by the federal government show that NNPC made N8.1 trillion from 2012-2015, paid N4.3 trillion to the federal government and withheld N3.8 trillion which the management of the corporation have not accounted for.

The probe panel was constituted by the National Economic Council which was inaugurated by President Buhari yesterday June 29th

"We are talking about transparency, we are talking about change and what we saw from those numbers I believe that Nigerians are entitled to know, is that whereas NNPC claimed to have earned N8.1trn, what was paid into the Federation Account from 2012 to May 2015 was N4.3trn. What it means is that NNPC withheld and spent N3.8trn.

Could Buhari Have Conceded Defeat As Jonathan Did?

By Odimegwu Onwumere

Some Nigerians think that the perceived needed change that was being yearned for in order to move Nigeria forward has come. One, because President Goodluck Jonathan conceded to the supposed victory of Muhammadu Buhari in the March 28 presidential election and two, because he was an egocentric gentleman, who earnestly wanted to institute a profound democratic norms and ties in the country, without giving a hoot to the thinking of his political party.

While the president’s perceptions may be good for democracy, the question is could Buhari have done what many are praising Jonathan for if Jonathan had won. The simple answer is archetypically no. Hence, Buhari may not be the change that Nigeria and her citizens have been yearning for. The highlight of this is that the north has always believed that nothing will stop them from attaining the presidency this year, and here we are.

Senator Bukola Saraki: The Story of a Serial Traitor

By Oluwaseyi Oduyela

Dr. Bukola Saraki worked as a Medical Officer at Rush Green Hospital, Essex between 1988 and 1989. He was a Director of Societe Generale Bank (Nig) Ltd from 1990-2000. He was appointed special assistant to the President on Budget in 2000 and fired few months later.

Dr. Bukola Saraki was elected the Executive Governor of Kwara State in 2003 replacing his father’s former political godson, Mohammed Lawal. Commodore Lawal had fallen out with Olusola Saraki, and therefore, had to be shown the door with the active support and connivance of Obasanjo, Dr. Saraki was installed as the Governor of Kwara State.

By the time Bukola became Governor of Kwara State, he was the Vice Chairman of the defunct Societe Generale bank. While it may be a stretch to say that the bank collapsed under his stewardship, some argue that his family’s influence on the bank at the turn of the new century marked the beginning of the end of the bank.

The National Economic Council, chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday accused former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, of spending $2.1bn from the Excess Crude Account without authorisation.

“We looked at the numbers for the Excess Crude Account. The last time the former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, reported to the council, and it is in the minutes, she reported by November 2014 that we had $4.1 bn.
Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole told State House correspondents after the NEC’s 58th meeting in Abuja.

Saraki's Citizenship Saga: What The Constitution Says.

Although I have not been able to confirm if the passport being circulated online by that website that is now practically synonymous with blackmail is genuine, I will base my argument on the assumption that "IF IT HAPPENS TO BE TRUE". My reason is simple: If it is found to be false, No case. It is only if the passport is confirmed to be genuine that we need to waste time deliberating on what the constitution says about the matter.

Now, what makes an individual a bonafide citizen of this country?
According to the constitution (section 25),

25. (1) The following persons are citizens of Nigeria by birth-namely-

(a) every person born in Nigeria before the date of independence, either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents belongs or belonged to a community indigenous to Nigeria;

Provided that a person shall not become a citizen of Nigeria by virtue of this section if neither of his parents nor any of his grandparents was born in Nigeria.

Senate Crisis: Oyegun's Fate Shaky As APC Caucus Meets

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun’s political future is hanging in the balance.

TheAll Progressives Congress (APC) chairman should step down, some forces within the party are pushing, ahead of tomorrow’s meeting of the National Caucus Committee.

Odigie-Oyegun’s offence, sources said at the weekend, is his perceived failure to nip in the bud the National Assembly crisis that has shaken the party so much.

Most of the APC governors, some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and party elders are unhappy that Odigie-Oyegun allowed the “crisis to fester”.

President Buhari may not name his cabinet members until late August or early September, this is according to a source in the presidency who spoke with Punch. President Buhari is reportedly majorly concerned with cleaning the alleged rot the Jonathan administration left behind before bringing in new ministers.

“Mr. President is reluctant to build on a rotten foundation he inherited from the Peoples Democratic Party administration. You cannot even begin to imagine the situation we have met on the ground; almost everything is in a state of decay. There is absolutely no way the new government can can hope to achieve anything long lasting without first building a new foundation.

THE PLANNED RELOCATION OF BOKO HARAM CONVICTS TO ANAMBRA PRISONS
SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

The attention of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has been drawn to the mischievous speculations on the social media that the planned relocation of some Boko Haram convicts to some prisons in Anambra State was done with his tacit approval and endorsement. I wish to categorically dismiss these speculations, hearsay and beer parlour banters as fundamentally untrue and should be disregarded by Nigerians.
Hard Facts

The fact is that when governor Obiano got wind of the planned relocation of these high risk prisoners to Anambra State, he quickly swung into action and contacted the relevant authorities to seek clarifications on the matter after which he raised several objections to the plan.

Bisi Akande, pioneer chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the rebellion in the senate is being viewed in the south-west as a northern conspiracy against the Yoruba. He also alleged that individuals who feel threatened by the resolve of President Muhammadu Buhari to fight corruption influenced the emergence of Bukola Saraki as senate president.

“While other position seekers are waiting in the wings until Buhari’s ministers are announced, a large section of the Southwest see the rebellion as a conspiracy of the North against the Yoruba,”

the former governor of Osun state wrote in a scorching letter, which was made public late Sunday, Describing the ongoing crisis within the party as a conspiracy, Akande expressed doubt that the leadership of APC was capable of handling the situation and he urged Buhari and governors elected under the platform of the party to intervene in order to prevent APC from total collapse.

Okupe Mocks APC Over Crisis

The Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, on Sunday, mocked the All Progressives Congress over the internal crisis plaguing the ruling party.

Okupe, who was one of the most vocal supporters of Jonathan before the election, had predicted that the APC would not last more than a year because “its foundation is wrong, its combination is faulty and its ideologies are not clearly defined.’’

Less than a month after President Muhammadu Buhari took the oath of office, the APC has been embroiled in a crisis caused by the election of principal officers in the National Assembly.

Stripped Of “first Lady” Title, Buhari’s Wife Stubbornly Seeks Influence

Two sources close to President Muhammadu Buhari have told SaharaReporters that there was growing concern over the apparent determination of the president’s wife, Aisha Buhari, to transform herself into a politically powerful spouse, in defiance of her husband’s wishes.

The sources remarked that President Buhari had ordered that his wife not be officially addressed as “First Lady,” adding, however, that Mrs. Buhari has been operating as one.

Since Nigeria’s return to democratic governance in 1999, the wives of successive Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua, and Goodluck Jonathan had operated in a politically controversial and high profile manner. Stella Obasanjo, the wife of Mr. Obasanjo, was known as a quiet power broker who reportedly demanded loyalty to herself from those who worked closely with her husband. She died on October 23, 2005 in Spain during a secretive trip to perform cosmetic surgery to enhance her physique.

I'm writing this to share my experience with masturbation addiction, because this has become a problem for many teenagers and adults, both male and female. I almost ruined my life with incessant masturbation, i do it 2-4 times daily, i derived pleasure in engaging in it not knowing i was making my life miserable. I started masturbating at the Age of 16 after watching a pornography and i wanted to know if i'm matured enough to Erupt. I masturbated for good 7 years, i enjoyed doing it, it was quickie, i masturbate to ease myself when i'm restless, unhappy or tired. I was terribly addicted to it, i do it in the bathroom, in my room, or anytime i'm lonely. I enjoyed it most especially when i'm watching pornography, it was sweet, i didn't have a girlfriend, i was battling low self esteem. It was crazy, it was fun, especially when you're about to Erupt but immediately you Erupt, you become remorse for doing it.

Saraki Adjourns Senate Sitting To July 21st! What???

After Going Against His Party's Directives, Saraki Adjourns Sitting To July 21st

What???

Why the One Month break?

What will they be doing for that long?

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has assured that members of the Red Chamber will reconvene any time before the adjourned date to consider any matter of urgent national importance or to attend to any national assignment requiring its attention, especially the nomination of ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He made this clarification in a statement released by his media team.
“The adjournment of Senate’s plenary to July 21, 2015, was meant to give the Senate Ad-Hoc Committees on Legislative Agenda and Review of the Senate’s Finances time to conclude their work and submit their reports. The two committees were given one-week to submit their reports. However, the Senate assured that it will reconvene at any time before the adjourned date to consider any matter of urgent national importance or to attend to any national assignment requiring its attention,” the statement reads.

The Senate’s Ad-hoc Committee on Financial review is the first time the Senate is setting up a body to review its own salaries, allowances, and the overhead cost of running the Senate with a view to realigning them to reflect the present economic situation in the country.

It could be recalled that the National Assembly had slashed its 2015 budget to N120billion from N150billion as a result of dwindling Federal Government’s revenue.

The cut was part of the National Assembly’s belt-tightening measures in view of the current economic realities in the country.

Saraki, had during the inauguration of the committee observed that the subject of reduction in cost of governance had been on the front burner of national discourse for a long time because of its extremely sensitive nature.

Saraki pledged that the Senate under his leadership would make “financial conservatism” its watchword.

The Senate President said: “There still persists the need to project clarity, accountability and transparency in all legislative matters and legislators’ welfare.

“The 8th Senate under our watch recognizes the concerns raised by Nigerians about the cost of running office most especially with the economic challenges facing our nation.

“The Senate will be more transparent regarding all public funds spent for the purpose of paying salaries and allowances of legislators and ensure that distinction is sufficiently made between what a legislator actually earns and what is spent to run and implement legislative business and committee activities.

“The watchword in our financial issues will be fiscal conservatism. It is therefore on this arm that the committee is mandated to carry out thorough fiscal examination on the Senate finances with the aim of coming up with the best cost-effective regime in the 8th Senate.”
